Assess daylight and sunlight in residential rooms, measuring natural light in habitable spaces before and after development. This includes daylight distribution, sunlight exposure, vertical sky component, annual probable sunlight hours, and overshadowing of neighbouring amenity areas and Waldram diagrams, providing clear, defensible evidence for planning applications and the evaluation of proposed schemes.

Right of light analysis, assessing whether a proposed development would reduce the natural light enjoyed by neighbouring buildings below the level they are legally entitled to. Using detailed 3D modelling, I calculate sky factor across a grid of points on the working plane, plot the extent of well-lit area against the 0.2% sky factor threshold, and quantify any loss caused by the proposed scheme. The results give you clear, defensible evidence to support negotiations with surveyors and legal teams, and to inform design decisions early enough to manage risk.

Preparation of technical study outputs, including cutback and envelope studies, deed profiles and transfer studies, clearly presented for inclusion in reports and project documentation.
